I really don't care about the death of MySpace, which used to be my first and most favorite social network. In fact, I think it's gonna be the ultimate ending for all kinds of social network.

But not Last.fm. This is the social network which is built on sustainability. It doesn't make you become addicted and accept stereotypes like Facebook. You have to really pay attention to it, nurturing it, otherwise you're out of the game. Which is the thing that worries me a lot. Because I've been gradually losing the habit of listening to music on my computer and more importantly, sharing the music I like. These days I tend to listen to my favorite stuffs in the traditional way: large speakers, CD, vinyl. Long gone are the days when I stayed in my tiny room at the dorm and scrobbling all the time. I was really happy back then, to be a part of a community, with friends that I'm no longer contact regularly.

However, one of the first thing that I do when setting up a new computer is to install Last.fm scrobbler software. I may not use it frequently, I just need it to be there, visible, and ready when I need it. It's been like that for nearly 6 years now. And I believe I'm not the only one. It's the thing that will keep Last.fm alive. The users will never abandon it.

Stay tuned my scrobbling friends!
